Welcome to Holy Cross Catholic School

On behalf of our school faculty and parish administration, I would like to welcome you to Holy Cross Catholic School. We are proud to be the parish school for Our Lady on the River Parish, and welcome our parishioners, members of other vicariate parishes and our community. Please read my regular column in the parish bulletin.

At Holy Cross Catholic School, our mission is to educate tomorrow’s Christian leaders by fostering academic excellence in a Christian community. We have provided a quality Catholic education since opening in 1869. Our staff is comprised of certified educators with over 140 years of collective teaching experience. We offer numerous programs to meet both the academic and social needs of our students, and we continue to research new offerings to strengthen our students for the world of tomorrow. We call this educating the WHOLE child. We expect our students to be respectful of others and responsible for their own actions.

As a Catholic school, we have a firm foundation in faith. Our students celebrate weekly Mass and the sacraments. They also learn the fundamentals of faith. We welcome students of all faiths, as our goal is to help our students live as Jesus did, and share His Good News with others. We are proud to play a role in the formation of quality Catholic Christian leaders.
