Student Life
Holy Cross Drama Club
The Drama Club at Holy Cross was formed in the 2007-2008 school year. It is open to students in grades three through eight. It began as an after-school activity where the children had an opportunity to express their creativity with regards to improvisation, poetry, and structured "make-believe." The club grew and it was decided to experiment a little further and actually perform for the student body and those interested in seeing what the drama club was all about. Since that time, there have been several activities, including a musical, a poetry reading, and seasonal plays, complete with sets, costumes, and sound effects. This fall’s show was comprised of two “fractured” fairy-tales: Cinderella Outgrows the Glass Slipper and Reading, Writing…and Little Red Riding Hood. Our spring performance will be announced when they have been selected. The studnets have loved every minute of preparation and production and are looking forward to the next activity.
