Meet Our Pastor
A native of Michigan, Fr. Jim Lopez graduated from the University of Michigan in 1992 with a B.A. in Sports Management and Communications. While at U. of M., he was a student athletic trainer with the Athletic Medicine program.
He worked two years with the football program and one year with men’s basketball.
He entered Sacred Heart Seminary on his 28th birthday was ordained in May of 2004.
Before coming to Our Lady on the River Parish,
Fr. Jim was the Associate Pastor at Our Lady on the Lakes in Waterford, Michigan.
