Holy Cross Catholic School provides a quality Catholic education for students in grades preschool-eight. We welcome three- and four-year-olds to our preschool programs. Programs vary to meet the needs of the individual child. Before and after school care for preschoolers is available. Holy Cross also offers an all-day, five-day kindergarten program.
At Holy Cross Catholic School, we offer an education that meets the needs of the WHOLE child. We lay a strong foundation in our faith, and build upon that foundation using quality academic programs. We also offer various extra curricular activities for students to develop their sense of team work and relationship building.
Holy Cross Catholic School in Marine City, Michigan was founded in 1869 and has served the Catholic population of Marine City for over 134 years. The present elementary building was built in 1960.
In 1990 a new activity center containing a full size gymnasium and cafeteria/kitchen was added. In 2001 the students were able to move into the new Fine Arts Center which houses Art, Music, and an up to date Media Center. We are now in the process of renovating a classroom into a modern science lab.

The school office hours are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. School begins at 7:25; bus riders are dismissed at 2:20 pm and all others at 2:21. School Closings
Closings are announced on the Detroit TV stations, as well as a few local radio stations (as well as on the East China Schools District’s inclement weather hotline: 810.676.1101; or their website: www.ecsd.us.) Consult your TV on those mornings that look nasty! Please remember that whenever East China School District schools are closed due to inclement weather, so are Holy Cross School and Preschool.
Also—on that very rare occasion that East China School District closes its schools early due to bad weather, so will Holy Cross. Keep an ear to the radio when weather looks bad!
